About Women Get Wealthy PDF Print E-mail

Do you find money management intimidating? Budgeting monthly expenses, investing in stocks, bonds, mutual funds, real estate, etc. – do these topics make your head spin?  If so, you are not alone.  Many women have irrational fears (or just a general lack of interest or understanding) when it comes to money matters.  Often, it is handed down from generation to generation – this idea that women are just not good with money.

The key difference between men and women, when it comes to matters of finance, is that women, more often, are never taught the ways of money.  Fear is caused by the unknown.

Perhaps, you would like to start investing for your future but just don't know where to start?  Many of us were told - go to school, get a good job and invest in your 401k.  These days, it's just not that simple.  No matter what your current level of financial knowledge may be, decide, for your own safety and security, to learn more than you know today.

I’m not suggesting that a woman should never allow a man to manage their finances; however, I do think it is critical that all women possess the ability to effectively manage their own finances and be involved in key decisions.  The unfortunate truth is that over 50% of us will, at some point in our lives, be left with the sole responsibility of managing our own (and possible family) finances.

You can learn the basics in various ways – read books, listen to instructional CDs, take a class, discuss with other men and women who know about finance.  Women Get Wealthy was created to be a place for all women to connect, discuss, and learn.  Investing does not have to be dreadful and boring, I promise!  Building wealth can be rewarding, liberating and one of the best gifts you could ever give yourself or your family.

Welcome to Women Get Wealthy!

As my grandmother would say:
